Ladner Physiotherapy offers treatment in a small private environment and generally books only two clients per hour.

The McKenzie Method of "Mechanical Diagnosis and Treatment. (MDT)" is suitable for pain in the muscles and joints of the neck and low back and of the arms and legs.

The McKenzie Method focuses strongly on patient participation. It is unique in that it utilises repeated movements to assess the behaviour of the pain. This information is then used to develop your treatment.

That means that you as the client can take the treatment with you home and work independently.

Usually you will need 3-5 visits to ensure that you are progressing and that exercises are performed in a manner that will keep you improving.

Posture education is a large component of the MDT approach, but once you have learnt the approach you can usually self treat should the pain return. Preventative measures are also taught as it is better to prevent pain than treat it.
